Al-Imam Prof. Dr. Ali Friday
Al-Imam al-Allamah Prof. Dr. Ali bin Jum'ah bin Muhammad al-Azhari is the former Grand Mufti of Egypt who held the position from 2003 to 2013. He is also one of the members of the Supreme Council of Ulama al-Azhar al-Syarif. Al-Imam has a PhD degree. in the field of Usul Fiqh from al-Azhar University. Among his famous teachers are Al-Allamah Syeikh Abdul Fattah Ghuddah and Al-Allamah al-Muhaddith Syeikh Abdullah Siddiq al-Ghumari, while among his famous students Syeikh Dr. Majdi 'Asyur, Sheikh Dr. Usamah Sayyid Mahmud and Al-Habib Ali al-Jufri.

Al-Imam Prof. Dr. Ali Jum'ah has been awarded various honors, including the First Class Honorary Star by His Royal Highness the King of Jordan King Abdullah II and the Al-Quds Star by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
